IRAA - International Rope Access Association

Scope 

IRAA (international Rope Access Association) has become a well-known standard enforcement body in the rope access business.  All the affiliated IRAA Councel organisations agree to establish minimum safety standards for the training of rope access specialists and PPE against falls users . This improves understanding between IRAA members as well as results in an increased acceptance of the rope access industry at European and a global level.

The influence of the IRAA member training organisations extends across large parts of the globe, particularly Europe, and thousands of rope access professionals and PPE against fall users have been trained by them.

IRAA not only publishes and enforces standards for the training of rope access specialists and PPE against fall users, it also acts as a unified body representing the interests of companies delivering rope access and PPE against fall training across Europe so is able to act as a spokesperson for the industry to governments and similar bodies.

IRAA follows exclusively ISO 22846-1:2003 and ISO 22846-2:2012, which are internationally recognized and used in the industry. All training and education guidelines are based on these ISO standards.

The continuous IRAA Qualitymanagement guarantees a high standard of training and enables the certified professionals to use their competences, working techniques and skills worldwide.
